Another Late Night 'Six Feet Under' Quote...

(The following is said by one of the quirkiest characters to ever work at the Fisher as Diaz Funeral home...)

Awkward Christmas

And yet another awkwardly funny quote from 'Six Feet Under.'

Taylor - "No but it's Christmas. And I want to watch the funeral."

Late Night Food

Tracy - "Why do people die?"

Nate - "To make life important."

What are you doing? How are you treating others? How are you treating yourself?

This is How I Feel My Life Sounds

I have a handful of TV shows that I can watch over and over again. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Six Feet Under, among a few others.

I finally picked up the entire series 'Six Feet Under' the other night and have been watching it over. Probably some of the most awkward things happen on this show. As most people close to me know I always have awkward and enjoy a good awkward exchange in my life, which is another reason I feel I relate to the characters in the series.

Anyways I just finished a episode about a missing foot. (Oh and by the way the show is about a family that runs a funeral business.) Here is an exchange of dialogue that had me rolling between the mom Ruth and her two sons David, and Nate about their sister Claire...

Ruth Fisher - "She stole a foot?! From a person?"

David - "Yes. Would it have been better if it was an animals?"

Nate - "A little bit"

Ruth - "You wake up one day and your baby's stolen a foot. Where have I been?"

David - "Loosing $25,000."

Oh it cracks me up! HBO seriously has great TV ;)

Addiction

It's a for sure sign that I may watch a bit to much of AMC's, 'The Walking Dead' and other zombie films. Why might I say this? I will explain.

Tonight upon our house plunging into darkness, and guessing the entire neighborhood followed suit the firs thought to roll into my head was...

"This is that moment when the government finally cuts the power supply and when I look out the window a 'walker' will be right outside. Seeing me he/she will try and break in my window hungry for my tasty and deliciously toned arms."

It's never dull in my head...

What a Zip Code It Is.

Today was a great day! I have turned a long over due leaf. I mean it only took me since early January till now to get outta this funk. I have a huge amount of people and thoughts to thank on this. (Yeah you can thank thoughts too.)

However the last couple of days did it for me and then waking up today and learning that it was 9/02/10 day (90210) I was fist pumping all over town! But this post will be dedicated to the wonderful series of 90210.

Growing up, my family, as I've said before, lived the mobile home life. We loved our Roseanne and such. However thanks to a former network we called, The WB, we were introduced to the syndication of the wonderfully trashy show, 'Beverly Hills 90210.' My mother had to screen it first and for some reason decided that it was appropriate for us to watch. As I have since seen it on cable in syndication I seriously wonder if my mom was high at the time cause this show is scandalous with a capital S!! Either way we watched it and then there was the time we had a babysitter who thought we shouldn't be watching it so she changed it. I remember telling her my mom let us and she highly doubted it. I guess my mom was much cooler than hers.

The show provided me with one of my first childhood crushes... Shannon Doherty! (silent sigh) She was mean, hot, and smart. But let us not forget that she was seriously misunderstood.

HOWEVER I'm still not happy with the way Kelly and Brandon ended. I think that was crap and they were meant for each other. Dylan schmillan! All the bad things happened to Kelly too. She was shot, developed an eating disorder, amnesia, canceled her wedding, almost killed by a psycho girl who wanted to be her, and the list goes on.

And who could forget the parents of Brenda and Brandon? Or the Peach Pit? Peach Pit After Dark gave me the dream of opening a night club one day (still want to).

I hope you all enjoyed your 90210 day, I know I did. There is still time if you haven't and have time in your day left.

PS: The new version is crap! I'm just saying I tried it once but never made it past 5 minutes. Nothing can take my Brenda away :)

(I will now lower my head in shame and think of something manly to post about next time)

YoU Ain't Kidding!

Hold the phone. I just learned Macy Grey, oh how I love her, has a new album out June, 22. I'm so excited and I seriously just can't hide it!

I noticed that a large amount of the blogs I follow have done a great deal of updating this week. And then there is mine and it has been a touch and go for some time now. I am pretty sure that I will have no reason other than clients that will keep me from updating this. The big blog-update-blockers would had to have been LOST and 24. Both of which ended in a twenty-four hour period.

LOST- AMAZING! There are many theories out there on the ending and it makes me laugh. It was pretty self answering and yet people still try and read into it. Like I told a friend on their blog, "Unless your name is JJ Abrams or one of the other head guys I won't believe your explanation on the ending." Each person has their own idea of the ending and not one is better than the other. The series was just the best. Well written and such. Even better it was announced that the complete series will be on a complete DVD/BluRay box set. EVEN BETTER than that it will retail on Amazon for $148.99! Yup I've already began coin collecting for this.

24- Jack was a great guy! I think we need a couple of him in our high profiled government fields. At least we know we wouldn't be getting ripped off by our leaders. He would always do the right even if it meant bending a few rules that dumb people put in so they could get away with corruption. Needless to say the series ender of 24 was fantastic. Chloe didn't let me down and neither did Jack. Oh and big news because I was Tweeting about the show as it was happening I was linked on a twitter trend grid. For those that don't tweet I can't even explain how awesome that was and again I can't even begin to explain what that is. You just had to be there.

Last Saturday I was asked to do photography at a Fabulous Sin City Roller Girls bout (game). It was Rockin AWESOME! I was the more close up back stage photog. Check later on my photography page as I will be posting some of them later tonight. I just loved the fact that I was asked to help with it!

Oh dang I gotta run, we are cleaning the church and helping a sister move in my singles ward. Till later.

Oh Chloe *sigh*

Yup I'm still behind in this, the final season ever of 24. Needless to say I love Hulu still and just finished another old episode. I have to catch up as the ender is on Monday (May 24, 2010).

Chloe is officially Director of CTU and has shown great ability to lead and run things. Well here is the President of the United States standing in front of her giving orders and instead of a firm yes response Chloe gives a classic Chloe line.

President, "Is that clear Mrs. O'Brian?"
Chloe, "I guess."

I love love that character!

(and after you read this go on over to this link and read my first Chloe post from March)

CAUTION! It's All Over The Place

Man-Alive I learned some exciting things tonight and the other day that I must share.

*Warning I am a nerd and you will probably roll your eyes while you read this. Consider yourself warned and now you can get over it.

First Off: The other day I was catching up on my tweets as I had not a chance to get on Twitter or Swift to do some reading. I was scrolling through the tweets when I caught one about the cast of Jersey Shore. They have signed on to do a 2nd season! Color me rockin excited! Let me be honest and level with you. IT IS A TRAIN WREAK OF A SHOW...BUT...I LOVE IT! I mean seriously who doesn't want to see what Snooki has to say or do next. Then you have The Situation. But hold up look at them names! That is all I'm gonna say about that. Here is one of the funniest SNL skit I have seen this year about Jersey Shore...

"BACK ABS!" Bwahahahahha

Reason Deux: I was doing some reading on abcnews.com and discovered that once again my my mind will be blown this year. Yeah that is right EVE will be releasing a new album this year!!! It's about dang time! That's all I can say. I remember being introduced into EVE as a freshman in high school. Yes it is true I had a crush on her, hey still think she is a fox. She is talent! Oh and lets not forget that she is the Ruff Ryders First Lady of Rap

While I'm at it what happened to all them classy rappers? Da Brat, Kris Kross? I mean now we got a life without Biggie. At least today's rappers aren't shooting each other and faking their own deaths in order to release a new CD every year. Yeah I'm talking about you TuPac!

My basic portfolio is up and online finally. It's nothing fancy but I'm always working on it.

I'm also debating if I should change my ARG IMAG blog from blogspot hosting to wordpress hosting. Anyone have info on Wordpress let me know. It just looks sharp and cleaner for a business blog.

After 10 years I will be going to see my Grandma Gawdun. Here is where I brag that I am only 2nd generation American as my father was born here after Gawdun Grandparents emigrated here once they got away from Hitler and his work camps (true story). I am hoping finally she will tell some stories of her life and yes I will be using all my technology at hand to record it. I have practiced using my iSight on my Macbook to record video and hiding the video screen behind other windows. Along with the voice recorder on my phone. Once again the NERD come hither.

Ok I'm done...

Can't Get Enough Of Your Love of the Money

As most of, you, my faithful readers know I have this thing where I don't go to sleep till around 2am. With this I end up catching some of the most awesome, and by awesome I mean ridiculous, infomercials. Well I once reported on a , Neckline Slimmer. I am here to tell you that with my mom working in a bank she met a guy who was having some withdraw issues from his account and upon her coworker looking into his account she noticed something called the..."neckline slim..." Of course my moms co worker asked the guy if it worked and busted out laughing at the customer. She tried hard to not but couldn't resist my mom said. Anyway here are some ones that I found that are making me laugh. So sit back and do the Hawaii (you'll get this reference after you watch the one video)

gotta love dynamic inertia. LOL
...now here is the guy version

...and to end it off tonight I will show you one last video and then the follow up version that Ellen had on her show.

"I feel my abs working." BWahahahahahahahah
...now Ellen's demo of it

I'm sure I will see some more by next month that will make it to a posting

My Inner Nerdy-ness, Welcome to the World

I've discovered that my creative juices don't flow right away when it comes to retouching photos.  I have to at least wait a few days before I can dive right into it.  When I do though, watch out!  The mouse goes a moving and I go a'croping.  So I have decided to take another "blog time break."

Whilst I edit I like to have background noise on be it my iTunes play list or a movie, just something.  Well I wont lie I have a guilty pleasure show, heck it aint guilty I love it and don't care what y'all out there think.  Buffy the Vampire Slayer, possibly the wittiest, cleverest television show ever.  Yup that is what I am watching right now.  Yes it is true I own the complete series and enjoy it from time to time.

I mean we all have those movies or shows we could watch all the time and never get tired of them, well this is mine.  Laugh all you want it doesn't harm me.  I had such a crush on Willow, but then she turned gay and then I said never mind, but that is a different story best for another time.

Let's take a trip into the plot of two of my favorite episodes, both of which happen to be found in season 3.  'Dead Mans Party,' and 'Earshot.'  One hand we have the pains of growing up and dealing with out consequences from the actions we take, along with the pains that we all struggle with through growing up and understanding how we are ALL struggling.  Then the other hand you throw in the mix of zombies and the ability to read minds due to the ingesting of demon blood.  All these make for a good time and TV worth watching.  Here is a little Gawdun pop culture knowledge, in my senior year in high school we had to complete and present 20 minute presentations dealing with symbolism or irony in my English class.  Thanks to my cunning understanding of the difference in media and real world I was able to pull off a passing grade in the class and not even miss a beat of the heart.

I guess what I am trying to say in this enjoy it and love it, this show has given society much to talk about.  And if not the case for all, Willow would say,  "it's good.  It's rather wolfie, it sooths the savage beast."

Once Upon a Time There Were 3 Little...

Whelp I'm sitting here with my brother we're watching some classic episodes of Charlie's Angels.  We got these for mom's mothers day gift, since she used to watch them with her late mother.  She really enjoys them a lot, and I have learned that these are great TV.  Seriously!

We are so used to modern "realistic" shows were there is blood and big bangs that make sense but these shows miss most of that.  I remember visiting the grandparents and grandma would be watching them and she was very entertained.  Heck she loved them CHIPS too.  But anyways these shows ARE really entertaining.  There isn't much need to over think and examine TV all the time.  I just want to be entertained, is that too much to ask.  However I wont be giving up my Betty Suarez, Jack Bauer or the ghostly island anytime soon I still need some real fun.

I just think that more and more people should embrace the classics and take things lightly and not so heavy.  I mean for reals, think about the decrease in road rage, ATM rage, or dressing room rage, (its true I heard some.)

Yah Think?
