Music for life
'Rewind'
-Stereophonics
I'm not sure you (the reader) understand something about my current blogging. I have even had a few of you ask what it is.
If you go back to the beginning of the posts from this year you will notice a great deal of my posts have a phrase and then a name below that phrase at the end and beginning of the post. For a simple reminder that is the name of a song and the artist behind it. I early on decided that once I got my own computer and didn't have to go to the library to blog I would share my music that was playing during my blog posting. Consider it my gift to you the reader as other than humor I have nothing more to give you. Now at the end of the year I plan on going back through the year and creating a final post from this year that will include all the songs and artist from my 2009 year of blogging. So if you want to jump on the gun you can start looking the music up on your own or you can wait. Either way this was just a friendly reminder of the funk on my posts. (If you notice all the music is a wide assortment of moods from mellow to rap, I got you covered)

Preparation and not the H kind
Yes it is true, I am sitting here watching episode 2 of season 1 of the classic show Angel. (you know the Buffy spin off. I managed to pick season 1 & 2 up for less than $30) Anyways tonight I managed to work on a current clients shoot and upload the sneak peek of it. Is it 'peak' or 'peek?' I would likely say that it it the second choice. Ok where was I? Oh yes the list of adventures for myself. Yes I still have a video post to post and the trip to Reno's photo's, which I am more than excited to post up here.
Just a couple more weeks and then I have probably one of the biggest photo shoots to shoot, well this far in my career. In fact I spoke with my model Emily last night about the shoot. All I can say without spoiling the shoot is there will be Black birds, water, dirt and Faux Diamonds. That is just the start. I managed to locate and pick-up the black birds today. Heck along with that I also came across a new schedule for community college type classes and will be of course signing up for a sidebar photography class to add more fun to my already growing photo tricks and tips.
My mother also told me to decided on a town I am moving to and do it. "Don't keep adding towns to my lists." Of course she told me the standard scripture answers to help along with that choice, so in the end all I am telling you guys, the reader, is to keep your eyes open as I will be revealing it the very near future.
On a side note I can tell you that in an average sized jacuzzi you can fit up to 8 people. A bunch of us learned that tonight.
Till next time

Gypsy Blood

'I Feel It All'
-Feist
So far my trip to Reno has been a blast and the next, also last, two days are full of fun and adventures. Today I made it to my old college singles ward and let's not forget going to Tahoe yesterday. Dawn and Kyle's wedding reception was Friday, very nice set up they had, would have been an amazing photo shoot and I can't wait to see what their photographer does with it. However let us not forget that tonight I also did the photo shoot for the Cappini Family. It was alot of fun, can't wait to post the photo's.
A few moments ago my aunt asked me if I had 'gypsy blood' like my mom has. I had to think about this and try and figure out what she was talking about. She was referring to the way my family has moved all over the place growing up. I would have to say that yes there is gypsy blood in me and I love it. Now what does this mean for me and my current life? SImple. St. George to me is my families home and not mine. (Now Amy, Nicole and the rest from St. George that may read this please don't get too mad.) I do love the area and I have met some of the best people there. I love my group of peeps. However I know and have fully come to terms that I must move away from it. Maybe it is merely the fact that I need to move away from home again and not just down the street or across town, or possibly it has alot to do with my current career as a photographer. No true answer is available at this time. Coming back to Reno has and still is a currently a blast and I am thinking about seeing if I can stay an extra day, (probably wont though.) Let me be honestly sound, I would love to live here again, Reno is home for me and I love every part of it, but this economy is not making life here any easier than anywhere else. I have another trip planned at the end of October to L.A. to photograph the Day of the Dead Festival (which I have talked about in previous posts) all of these current trips are being used as a catalyst to move on to bigger and better life ventures. Heck I do eventually imagine that I will get married and have a family but I don't think it will happen where I am stationed in life.
I must travel where the Lord takes me...
Whelp I am gonna go teach my aunt how to do 'light photography' so I should probably get going for now.

Guilty Joys
The other night after I took my little brother to see Star Trek (yes is is true I now have seen it a total of 3 times and pretty much helped along with others the guarantee that they will make two more films.) After we got out, around 11:45 pm we ran over to Wal-Mart, I HATE THAT PLACE SOOO MUCH. Anyways we got in the check out lane and as always there was a line to China but only one register was open. We made it up to the front with only one other set of girls in front of us. Now like most of us have done they were going through there cart and deciding they did not want certain items, however instead of telling the cashier they just started piling on the closed register. I for one used to do this but then felt guilty once and stopped doing it. I have since turned this guilt into fun times in result of the expense of others. Well these girls get to the cashier and tell him they no longer want this one item and hand it to them. So here I go, out loud I go say "what about this pair of pants? Did you want them too or not?" The one girl who you could tell was the older of the 3 looked at me horrified and shocked that I just did that. I won't lie to you, I was laughing inside. Thus my new life joy. Consider this a warning, if you are in front of me and leave things around the register I will call it out. I mean seriously what is the deal that you can't speak to the cashier? They don't mind, in fact they would rather you leave it with them. Oh well get in front of me and be embarrassed and then maybe you'll stop.
On another note, I'm heading to Reno tomorrow at 7:35am. I'll be there for a full week attending a friends wedding, Lake Tahoe partaking and chilling with a few good people. Not to forget a couple photo shoots. have a fun weekend to the readers!

Orphan

Tonight I went and saw the "Orphan." I actually enjoyed it. Now I am a weak soul when it comes to a nice thriller, all I can say is sign me up.
There is lots I can say at how brilliant the movie was. For one the twisted ending was superb. However I will warn you that if you see it, you may think you have it figured out but chances are you wont. Now I wont lie I did bust out laughing on many occasions, cause let's be honest there is always cheesy when it comes to a thriller or horror movie.
Acting was real good too. The young James T. Kirk from the new Star Trek (which I have seen twice and will be seeing a 3rd time with the bro this week) happens to be in this movie as well. There was absolute brilliance when it came to several scenes with the deaf daughter in the film. Which brings me to one of the few issues I had...
Film Technique.
Now right off from the start there was some awesome camera shots, just with the angles and positioning of the camera. They even played well with the cliche thriller scenarios that a clean camera position usually uses. But towards the end they lost the imagination that came with the camera angles and positions and it became a regular angle.
I was very interested with the way they were able to film with a child in such a grown-up roll. I would love to hear other thoughts on this from you that watch it.
I wont talk to much on this film although this movie is now in the top 15 list for me on the thriller list. I recommend it, and if you do see it, it will be ok to laugh at some of the cheese. I did!
I enjoyed this movie A WHOLE LOT MORE than X-Men Goes Really Bad CGI or should I say X-Men Wolverine.
