Man I have been super busy traveling this great state of Georgia. After we left Tifton we made our way down to Douglas. This is the part of the trip where things started to appear uncertain. Up until this point we had places to stay that were set in stone, well now we were unsure. However that was part of the adventure.
We went down there hotel district (consists of 1/4 mile of the normal hotels.) We drove from each one to find the best deal, I mean seriously who wants to make reservations? This is part of the travel fun! We managed to find two that were competitive and we made our final choice. (It was a good choice too, the other one looked like a scene from that horror/thriller movie 'Identity' staring John Cusack, Amanda Pete, and Ray Liota.) For only staying there one day we quickly went out and saw a few people starting off with the Jewels that own 'Jewel Recycling.' Boy them people are sure a mess, bless there heart! (I love them dearly, cause let's be honest I'm a walking mess too!) Managed to go and see some of the town, and a couple other members before calling it quits. Mom managed to not get hit on during this part of the trip, haha. Anyways here goes the pictures, enjoy.
More time killing at the hotel.
My mom has this routine where she runs for a few minutes up stairs and here is she is tearing it up in Douglas, GA at the Western Inn. Blink and you'll miss her!
That's right... 'For Sell'
Sedric Paulk, I taught him and then got transferred one week before he got baptized. However he seems to be doing great and still has them rocking 'nefrews' that he takes care of.
This is probably one of the only large houses in Douglas, it was under construction when I was there but look at it now.
Brother Keenan, he was a great bishop when I served there.
I just liked the sun and clouds mixed with rays.
Elder Kevin Clarke and I prayed here in this vicinity one night when we was chased out of a house we were teaching it, that lady will one day regret that but anyways here is where this spot resides...
Darn straight it was a cemetery! Honestly that was the only close place that was secluded that we could pray to get rid of the dark feeling we had experienced just moments ago. I still remember having to turn off my bikes blinking tail light so nobody would see us and we wouldn't cause a scene.
Bwahahahahahahahah
Sister Jennifer Hardon and her daughter Brianna and the cousin (I done forgot the name now). Brother Hardon was at work still and the boys were out of town.
Just a lawn ornament
More ornaments...
I was told once long ago that Dateline NBC did a report of 3rd world countries in our own country and this place was on the list, 'Sand Ridge.' Pictures can't describe the truth behind it.
The end of another day in Georgia...
More tomorrow from the Savannah/Pooler/Tybee Island part of this adventure

Oh if I could write an ode to the Douglas area. On second thought- I won't. Slow Sickness? I guess everything really is slower in the south. Even the flu takes time getting around. Great pics.
