New Online Addiction

'Cuffs'
-Zeigeist

You know when ever I am not working on photo's for a client I sometimes have no idea why I use the computer. I seriously have not another productive thing to do. For example I am here blogging for the second time today! LAME. I made it to FHE tonight and it was a real good one. We had a former sister of the ward come in and teach us on Nutrition. I wont lie I learned alot and found some answers to things that I can do to be better on my eating and fitness habits. Ok so maybe I got off tract as to why this post is going to be on the web.

Now as I was saying... I don't really have alot of the anything else to do when I am not working on photos or researching new photo techniques. Youtube in my book is a big waste of my time and I state that simply because I can get stuck on there for hours, not just minutes but HOURS. So the other night I was on it looking around and I fell upon my new guilty pleasure.

(click on the link, you wont be sorry)

So i found this page and began a laugh affair with this girl. The first video I watched was all about "if chase scenes were real life and what they would be like." I then traveled to the video she created about "swine flu." AS the kiddies these day's say... "OMG" I was laughing sooo hard. These video have inspired me to possibly create little "vlogs" if you will. I have very humorous things to say I a told. So why not publicly share these things. I mean you the reader and viewer of my page tell me that I write some funny stuff here. I guess it's time to experiment with the "vlogging." I already for see a many random posts and people saying... "seriously did he just say that?"

So wish me luck. Next time you check here there might just be a video posting, who knows.

Part 6 (The End)

Our stay in Georgia ended with another trip back to Waycross putting up much closer to Jacksonville. We managed to stop and get doughnuts from Dede's again, have lunch at the local eatery called, Garden Cafe. I had been to the one in Blackshear but this one was a new location downtown Waycross. It was great as always. On our way back to Waycross we took an alternate route and went down to Jekyll Island. (only the main entrance as they charged you to get on the 10 mile wide and long island). Enough of my words have fun with the pics...

I snapped this pic on the way back from the Vegas airport to home.

That is the Hoover Damn. They are building a bridge to go around as to divert any possible chance of terrorist threat.

Jacksonville airport was amazing. They had sinks in the bathroom where the water just poured onto the counter and drained behind it. I mean it was a counter top not a basin! Then they had this person walking across the glass. My favorite airport so far in all my years of travel thus far.

The door ways to the bathroom's were very inviting to any shape of person.

If you look real close the billboard in the week we were gone had some adjustments made to the faces of Charlie and Jessica.

My mom loved her so much that we had to return so that we could get a picture that included my mom as well. Sister Gowen.

Tobacco fields.

The freakn rockin awesome Taylor family! They getting closer to get to the Temple! I told them to call me and let me know early and I'd try and get back out there for it.

We was real thirsty.

Mom made it sound like it tasted amazing, so I tried.

*On a side note since my return from this trip the Waycross Ward no longer belongs the the Douglas Stake. They are now part of the Kingsland Stake if I'm not mistaken. Thus they no longer are part of the Georgia Macon Mission. That sucks for the mission but good for Waycross and the growth they have and will see.

Hey Gov. Sanford Who is the Laugher?

So today South Carolina Governor Sanford held a press conference in which he admitted where he had been over the last weekend when no one seemed to know where he was. To sum it up he had been having an affair with a woman from Argentina. Stupid guy is all I say but the press conference left more questions. I wont be posting the conference video on here but I am posting photos of the best moment of the day. Which led to more questions. Simply who in the heck was behind the governor during this speech? I mean this woman was laughing it up during the whole thing...

Here is the best line from the press conference/ This whole things was a circus is all I got to say.
"...it is indeed to protect us from our selfs, and the biggest self of selfs it is indeed self..."
-Gov. Sanford

I'm still laughing! ;-D

The next post will be the last part of my trip I promise.

Neda

So i am taking a break from the last post of my two week Super Sized Trip to Georgia to post something real important.

As many of you that are breathing probably know there is a bad thing going on right now over in Iran. First off I would like to say that I am grateful to be living in a country where we have the ability to have the freedom of speech and protest the things we feel are unjust. Heck back when I was in High School I was a very loud liberal person that protested Burger King to offer better treatment of their animals in the slaughter houses. Not being afraid to post fliers and hand info out was a is a great privilege we have here in the States. It is very sad that many others can't experience this same freedom.

There has been much death and hate all around this world but one event that took place over in Iran this past Saturday struck me as more of a reason to be grateful for the freedoms I have here in the U.S.

(I do warn this video is slightly graphic and does have images of blood)

I just hope that many of you understand what we have
and to not forget it either.
I feel so bad for Neda and the people of Iran.

PS: The green font is to show support to Iran protesters.

Part 5.2 (or What I Call Tybee Island)

Well y'all probably thought that the posting of Savannah's adventures couldn't get any better well here I go to disprove that thought right out of you mind. Friday we headed out to Tybee Island which is right out side of Savannah. I could seriously live there, even if it was in a box, and I would be happy, but seriously I would! We drove around till we found a real nice parking space. (I have since learned that we should have parked and been around 10th street, I've since repented and made note of it for future trips.) We walked a good mile or maybe less away from the crowds at the Pier after I changed in the STINKY, HOT, UN KEMPT, sorry of a bathroom. (I'm pretty sure I sweated a full pound off in there!) We were there for about 4.5 hours and even though I had sunscreen I still managed to get my white self real RED. Mainly just my back as it had not seen sun since the summer of 2006 right before I left for my mission. So yeah it was going on 3 years of no sun. I'm still peeling and it's all itchy like, but worth it cause now I'm back to brown, but not Bobby Brown style.

I will tell you this much. That water is so nice and warm. It felt like bath water or something of the sorts. I swam in it and it felt good. However I did think about sharks and such for a tiny moment but then blocked that mess out of my mind. No need to think about it when I could attempt to punch it in the eye if I had been bit. I have a real funny experience to share that involves me in the water swimming but I won't post it here...Wait what am I thinking I got nothing to hid. So I totally went a little number one in the Atlantic Ocean! Now don't any of you go and jude me, EVERYONE has done it in the pool and I bet several readers have done it in Lakes and Oceans, embrace it and get over it. I mean Al Gore never said oceans are dying because of that and I wanted to leave a part of me behind. Hahahaha

It was a real crowd pleaser part of the trip to Georgia and a good way to end it. It's probably a good thing that I don't live that close to Tybee, just yet, as I would never get things done.

Click on the picture to read the sign. It just tells you thanks for visiting.

I love that there were soooo many recycle bins and such all around the beach. Thank goodness they take care of Tybee.

So I wanted to learn to surf that day but there were no waves. I don't this guy understood that.

They use baby crabs to fish off the pier, well some did.

This lady walked the beach a long ways down and back up it

Hey look, it's my feet again, but then again they aren't burned like that last time I put them on this blog. Just sandy now.

It was alot of fun watching these two guys do this. I should have followed suit.

Yeah that is a baby SHARK in her hand. People were fishing sharks and other things on the pier and some guy even caught a sting ray. He let it go cause it's illegal to keep them. Now this poor baby shark I'm sure died as he was not thrown back in the water. He slowly stopped moving and last I saw him a few girls had him and trapsed down the pier to scare someone with it. I'm pretty sure the Good Lord will one day allow that shark to show them all what it felt like.

I will not zoom and crop this photo as the white speck would blind you. That is my "2 1/5 year no tan self." Now it looks nice and tan, I owe it all to the slight burn I got at Tybee. It was worth it.

There is mom. She never went in but sure like walking the beach.
