Tonight I went and saw the "Orphan." I actually enjoyed it. Now I am a weak soul when it comes to a nice thriller, all I can say is sign me up.
There is lots I can say at how brilliant the movie was. For one the twisted ending was superb. However I will warn you that if you see it, you may think you have it figured out but chances are you wont. Now I wont lie I did bust out laughing on many occasions, cause let's be honest there is always cheesy when it comes to a thriller or horror movie.
Acting was real good too. The young James T. Kirk from the new Star Trek (which I have seen twice and will be seeing a 3rd time with the bro this week) happens to be in this movie as well. There was absolute brilliance when it came to several scenes with the deaf daughter in the film. Which brings me to one of the few issues I had...
Film Technique.
Now right off from the start there was some awesome camera shots, just with the angles and positioning of the camera. They even played well with the cliche thriller scenarios that a clean camera position usually uses. But towards the end they lost the imagination that came with the camera angles and positions and it became a regular angle.
I was very interested with the way they were able to film with a child in such a grown-up roll. I would love to hear other thoughts on this from you that watch it.
I wont talk to much on this film although this movie is now in the top 15 list for me on the thriller list. I recommend it, and if you do see it, it will be ok to laugh at some of the cheese. I did!
I enjoyed this movie A WHOLE LOT MORE than X-Men Goes Really Bad CGI or should I say X-Men Wolverine.
