'I Want You'

So there I am being all missionary like and Bishop David H. Burton get's up to give his talk. Now I have always been a fan of his talks for some unknown reason that I have yet to understand. (I'm still trying to figure it out.) He gave a very stirring talk entitled, And Who Is My Neighbor? I was hit hard by the humanitarian service spoken of. I have always been a fan of humanitarian efforts, even though all I have ever done is donations and prayers. The moment I heard that talk I knew that I wanted to go and somehow after the mission do some sort of volunteer work. Heck I even dreamed of being all Doctors Without Borders like. (That was a dream of mine as a kid.) I remembered sending in my weekly email how much I wanted to do such work.
Fast forward to after mission: I came into contact with an organization that is not affiliated with the L.D.S. church but had a high member involvement rate. Heck one of my friends in Reno traveled to Taiwan while I was on my mission to teach for a few months through that program. (International Language Program) I contacted them about my options to assists and volunteer and got super stoked. However due to several factors I had to decided against going through with it. However the moment I heard that talk in Valdosta, GA still stuck with me...
Fast forward to now and few months ago: I still dabbled with the idea to volunteer but had no idea of a great opportunity. That is about the time I was called into FHE and Activities chairmanship (I call it) and so was Rachel Martel.
I don't even remember how it came up (must have been some old root beer involved) but she expressed how she would love to do a volunteer program too and how she had been reading into a few programs. During this time I also was mulling over the option to apply to A.I. of Las Vegas. Rachel soon informs me that she had found a program where they will assist the people of Nepal for about a week or two. This is where this blogs title comes from (look above). I mulled it over again and thought cool. Well I decided to start my school application process and go that way. Well even though I worked on my scholarship this past week over the month of Feb I still thought about that talk once and many times again.
Here I am... A program I can apply to for my photography which will book 3 years of my life, and applying for a 1-2 week long volunteer service in Nepal from late October to early November (10/29/10 - 11/07/10 not including flights). The service would take a few days of class out of me if I do get accepted so what a predicament huh? I know the right path will reveal it self. (I may have to take a leap first). Man Alive why do this to me you friends and leaders of the church and divine inspirationers (my word)?
Oh yeah here is the Nepal service wedsite... SHe (singular humanitarian experience)
Thanks for many more decisions. Heck watch I meet some girl in the next few months. Just my luck. LOL.
PS: I realize and have been told I have too many plans and ideas running in my head and thus the reason why I have not really revealed this with anyone till now. So I appreciate not being told that again.

I like the fact that you have a lot of ideas in your head. You tell those other people that their heads are empty and to sign up as a hot air balloon ride.
