Stick It In, Feet Up

As many of you fine (don't deny it your fine maybe not just fine but spicy looking) readers know I had a golden birthday this last weekend. While there are many photo's that I will try and share (just like many other photo's I have yet to post) I would like to share a fascinating gift I received. We call it... Plant Me Pet!

I had honestly never seen such awesome-ness. It was found in this oddity novelty shop that just closed the other day here in St. George. It doubles as a toy and a tomato plant. Heck it even squeaks!!!! So this gave me the perfect idea. My blog has been slacking as of late with fun poignant stories and although I am trying to revamp it to fit my golden year I still need a project. This little toy has given the inspiration. Here it is. I am currently awaiting the right time to plant a tomato plant. I have always wanted to try and grow my own to see if I have a green thumb (and I'm not talking about the most amazing card game which goes by the same name... Green Thumb). With that said I will be creating a supplemental blog that will follow my Plant Me Pet journey. All the way from building the plant box, to eating that glorious tomato mayo sandwich. Who knows what will happen but that will be part of the journey.

I will plant, get it plant? Haha. Anyways I will plant the link to that blog page once I begin. Until then feel free to place your bet's and make a wager as to how long and how successful this little journey will be.

Its all about using the right fertilzer. Good luck, fresh tomatoes are at the top of my good food list.

Ah yes, green thumb. Did you know that I just bought that game? Be jealous.

What fertilizer does one reommend?

Melissa I already own 'Green Thumb.' In fact I got mine FREE when it was left in the Tifton apartment. No money spent by me. Who's jealous now?
(Can't wait to see you next weekend)
