Angels & Demons..My Review

Today I had a chance to go and see Angels & Demons. The before the Da'Vince Code movie adaptation. I will be honest up front. Not in my top 10 movies for this years films I have seen. Don't get me wrong it was nice and pretty. I still haven't had a chance to read the book so hopefully I will enjoy it. Anyways.

The movie did have a great plot and far fetched caper story line and it was full of adventure just like the Da 'Vince Code, but not as much. I find symbolism and such very fascinating but this one didn't have as much as I figured it would. Tom Hanks did ok in his reprised role as Symbolism professor Robert Langdon. Here is the one of the issues I had with it. I don't know if Ron Howard (director) and Tom Hanks were inspired by Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps or what but do we really need to see Tom wearing a speedo? Seriously?!?! Maybe the grandmas sitting next to me thought it was HOTT or something else but we really didn't need it.

I felt the movie could have been more historical fiction involved. The thought behind it was amazing but it just seemed like a far fetched story line. At least the Da 'Vince Code made you stop and think and make you keep thinking years later. (Just ask me on my theory regarding the blood line of Christ, I'm still talking about it!)

Now I will say that the CGI effects at the end were amazing! Not Star Trek amazing but just amazing. They did choose a wonderful actress named, Ayelet Zurer. Her part/acting/talent/beauty made things more tolerable. To end it off I will say I am always amazed at the talent and ability actors have when it comes to speaking with different dialects and such. I was very sucked in my the accents and language.

In the end I recommend to all the time of being entertained by Angels & Demons, you will be just that, entertained.

My personal review gives this movie a 3.75 stars. I just had to throw that in there.

(please don't take this for gospel, I don't get paid to review I just give my scattered thoughts to those who will read)

The book was fab. I haven't seen the movie yet. I didn't like the casting of Tom Hanks in the first movie. I would have preferred someone who is less recognizable.
