'Medicine Wheel'
-Aimee Mann
Here it is ladies and gents. The main reasons last week became another reason (if not the biggest) September sucked!
Monday started out great other than the fact that with me being FHE Co Chair I had to put out a FHE Region fire. Heck that night I talked to one of the best sister missionaries I knew on my mission, in fact that conversation was a real conversation it wasn't one sided which to me seems like all the conversations I have with people anymore. YOU ROCK ELISSA!!!
Tuesday was ok. My photo class was not boring.
Wednesday is where it alllllll started to go to the crapper. My job (not the fun one, I'm referring to Ruby Tuesday) was INSANE. I don't lie when I tell you that ALL BUT 2 of my tables in a double shift needed specialized items on their plates. I can deal with that but man I think I ran a complete marathon in that dinning room. Chew on that you St. George Marathon Runners! I also locked my keys in the car that morning at work. My mom brought my spare and was glad as I would have missed that classic 'LEROY' movie called FAME at my friends house. However around 11:30pm when I got home I again locked my keys into the car. However also with the master set were my spare keys. The next spare key lies in Reno, NV only 8hours away. I laughed but mother seemed to think not so funny of it.
Thursday I spent $50 in less than 1 minute just to get my doors unlocked. However I did catch the premier episode of Cougar Town (the new Courtney Cox show on ABC) and I laughed hard. Then there were some personal issues I had going down that day.
Friday was fun.
Saturday set in stone my reason to not attend the mission reunion this upcoming weekend. I noticed the previous Sunday at church that I had two back tires that needed to be fixed ASAP. So I decided that Saturday was the best time. One of the tires was starting to greatly show tread. So there I am driving on the freeway (why is it called that?) and I get .5 miles away and I have a complete tire blowout! I mean there is tire flying up in the air and people are swerving to not hit me. There was also that not so attractive smell of burning rubber.
I kid you not. I can see the Wal-Mart and it makes me laugh.
My insurance carrier tells me they can tow me and then pay me back. I could have put a spare tire on to get me there but I didn't really think about that till I was ALREADY at Wal-Mart and had spent ANOTHER $50 on the tow. i could have saved that money. Heck the tow truck driver also could have been a single lady and that would have made the event even more entertaining but NO it was a dude. Then they tell me the whole total of 2 tires and service on my little car comes to a total of $170.00! I used all my mission reunion/General Conference trip money and then still needed family help to cover the WHOLE DAY.
I look back and glad that in 1 hour it will be October 1st, Oh hey that is Katie's Birthday! Anyway I am just glad September will be over, this month always seems to be a fast one and I'm glad it is done.
However sad to say I will not be attending the mission reunion that I actually was finally getting excited to attend. Maybe my secret reason to get excited was not only getting to see a certain few missionaries but I was gonna plug the crap out of my photography. I'm sure there are a few that will need my services in that group. Oh well. Maybe Melissa or Elissa (that rhymes) will put a shout out for me. If not that is cool... BUT NEVER FEAR I AM GOING TO SHOW UP IN SALT LAKE BEFORE IT GETS SUPER WINTER LIKE. KEEP YOUR EYES AND EARS OPEN!

Macy Gray's 'Dancing with the Stars' Audition.
For those who follow my Twitter and Facebook updates you already know that this has been the week from H-E-double hockey sticks. Actually for the kind of week I have had I would simply put it...'THE WEEK FROM HELL!' But alas I did not come to discuss this week, that will be saved for my next post and it will have pictures for proof. I managed to catch the movie 'FAME' this week in the midst of trial and strife, no not the new one but the original 80's version. I say skip it but really the only good scene from the movie was the one I share with you below. I'm most positive that the girl in it is my favorite singer Macy Grays sister or something fierce like that . Prepare to laugh as it was truly my only saving grace of joy this week. I'm thinking with a girl in my ward to learn this and present it for the Tri-Ward talent show complete with croche (sp?) shirt. Enjoy! ;-)
So what your saying is you want me to present this to the ward show, huh? LOL

What the slide show?
'Feel it in my Bones (Feat: Tegan & Sara)'
-Tiesto
First off I have been home from my mission a week over a year. Time sure was fast and yet slow. I could swear that life on the mission was much fast than this worldly life. (Although September is a fast month always and after as much as it has sucked I can't wait for it to be over.) I have done a whole lot in this last year. Heck I'm with my own business, ARG IMAG, been on several small and larger trips with several others in the next two months.
Well next weekend being General Conference weekend we are also having our mission reunion. While I am not super excited to go (I have no idea why) I am gonna go. We have also been asked to email a couple photo's from the mission for this slide show that will be shown. Going through all my mission photos has been alot of fun. Here are two of my favorite ones...
I don't lie when I tell you that there are 5,000 tennis balls in that first picture. I have many reasons to love the second one. Then there is the 3rd one. Being a missionary you cannot dress up for Halloween. So our wards (Georgetown ward and Pooler ward) had this combined trunk or treat and we four pictured decided to have our own fun. You can't tell in the picture but us elders switched our name tags for the sisters name tags. Not very exciting but it was fun. Great night that was... I would have to say the best part was how the sisters told us they would kick our trash in the trunk decorating contest. Needless to say our members helped us out and we kick the trash out of the sisters trunk. I'll have to post that winning trunk pic next time.
Whelp I'm off. We have this festival in town and I'm gonna go pimp out my photo biz, ARG IMAG, by handing flyers out. Oh and yah to me, I acquired a client last night at work. So that 14 hour shift payed off!

All Time Favorite Prank
Every now and then I watch the Ellen DeGeneres Show and laugh till it hurts. Last season she did a segment where she showed funny videos from around the web. The one I am about to show you is one that was repeated time after time. I laugh still when I see this...
Yes once again I am posting pretty much daily but let's be honest. Not one day has been boring. However I may be gone for the next few days as I will be heading to Carson City, NV for my young brothers wedding. I'll try and get some news and funny stuff from this trip to share when I return.
Hey thanks for those that still read my stuff and never get bored and leave.

New York or Elsewhere?
I recently learned that when you turn the age that your birthday falls on you are supposed to throw one of the biggest celebrations you know how. If you were to young to celebrate it and make it fun then make up for it by the year that you turn the year you are. Well in a few months I will hit 26 on the 26th of February. Not that I am planning a big bask already but I have been thinking of potential travel spots. Today I was thinking about this at the most random time ever and I decided that why go somewhere close like Vegas or Cali. Why not go to New York?! I mentioned this to a few friends tonight and they all thought it was a GREAT idea. So as of right now we are planning on a full weekend trip beginning with a Thursday flight and ending with a return flight that following Monday.

Seriously?
'Breakin' Up'
-Rilo Kiley
Today at work I witnessed probably the most awful thing possible. Let me tell you the story.
So one of our cooks, who is by far our most awesomest one, clocks out after his shift and I ask him when he is working next. He tells me that he doesn't think he is due to the fact that he hasn't been scheduled. I tell him that is weird maybe he was put on a different part of the schedule, nope he wasn't. Finally he gets our general manager, who is awesome, to call and ask the head chef why he is not on the schedule. Supposedly he was 'let go.' Our manager asked me if he is on the schedule anywhere else and I tell him (by the way I managed to get involved in this by a freak chance) that Ruth had not put him on the other departments schedule that he already knows how to work. So the manager calls her up which in turn he is told that she doesn't need him on the schedule!
This is where I get mad.
NOBODY HAD THE GUTS TO TELL HIM THAT THEY WERE LETTING HIM GO. My job has some of the most un-accountabale people I have ever seen and met. The head chef leads the pack, he would rather yell at us when small mistakes happen and not deal with employees that he is over. Then who said Ruth had power to tell people she did not need them? As far as I recall from what the other shift leader said, a shift leader does not say who works there and who doesn't. On a side note* Danielle after you left she tried being just like you and doing things that you do. LAME!!! I felt so bad for this guy. Finally our GM is told by the head chef that they don't have enough hours for him. OH HECK if that isn't the worse lie I have ever heard this week. His hours were given to 2 other cooks who are horrible and have more mistakes than this young guy ever made and he was only with us a few short months. I asked him if he had a reason to be let go and he said not that he was told and knew.
I wanted to tell him to keep his head up that this is just a test to see if he makes and keeps his baptism date for this weekend. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that. He is getting baptized this weekend so I believe that this is just a distraction from the man named Satan.
I once again feel all 'Norma Rae' like and want to check into his labor rights and see if he was treated fair. I smell unfair acts all over this. I still can't believe they just take his name off the schedule and not tell him.

Photo's That Tell a Story
First off before I get to the main reason of this blog I would like to share with the rest of my followers and readers my favorite photo of our President and his wife. I know there is a like or dislike with him and it is no secret that I am on the like side of things, but this photo was taken during the moments of silence for the 8th anniversary of 9/11. To begin the reason behind this blog of my favorite journalistic photos I give you...
Right after September 11, 2001 happened I was given a copy of the TIME magazine that was a commemorative photo special with some of the most amazing photographic journalism that I have ever seen. I meant to use this post as a place to show some of my favorite photo's from that issue. However I am currently having issues with my scanner and I could not find all the images from the issue online so here are the nice runner ups. Photo's 1-3, 5,6, 9, 10 are the only ones I could find from the issue that are posted on the net

Are You Serious?!?! Yes They Are.
This is a fast post as I just got home from work and have to return at 8am (7 hours from now) but I just witnessed this on an infomercial and had to share the humor that I am busting on...
I know what your thinking, this fits right up there with the Topsy Turvey hair maker thing...

Whitney - Post Bobby
'Roseanne Theme Song'
-TV Theme Players
I feel once again it is my civic duty to commentate on media fire. I also meant to post on this yesterday when it happened but like my last post said I have been SUPER booked in time and all. Better late than never right?
As many of you know, and then for those who didn't know, Whitney Houston is making a comeback. This comeback just may be the best one of 2009. From what reports are saying she will not be going on tour to promote this comeback so she has settled with TV appearances. One of the first ones was yesterdays GMA (Good Morning America) concert. This is what I will speak about.
Overal the performance was great with minor flaws that the mass media are zeroing on. First off is the voice cracking... Her voice did have some cracking involved but lets think about this. Up until recently she was a cracked out baby momma with money and married to Bobby, or in the words of her... "BOBBBAY!" (I don't think I will ever forget the reality show they did together and the moment they discussed true love and hemrhoides) So with her being all drugged up for year this will do damage to ones vocal cords. Next let's think about how when someone ages things happen to ones body and that causes changes in the voice as well. 3rd think about how long she has been gone from music in general. Of course you wont just jump back on the "I Will Always Love You" music notes. Think about this. She is related to Dionne Warwick, and as a reporter said it is more obvious NOW that they are related. The voices sound very similar now. Personally I thought her voice was amazing, but then again this is coming from me and I think Macy Gray sounds AMAZING.
On the looking good factor she is a 9 for me and could easily be a cougar for me. That is right, I would totally date her!
I don't plan on rushing out to pick up her album let alone buying it at all but I will support her on this slamming comeback.
Before I go I have to laugh and share at how insane her fans are. On GMA before she sang they let a few people speak about Whitney and they were ALL out of control funny. Here is simply the best one that I HAVE to share with you readers...
"Whitney is manna from Heaven and honey to my ears!"
-freaking out Asian fan
I laugh every time I read or think about that quote.

PS. Her new album is out now and is entitled 'I Look to You'
Not Enough Time!
I have no clue what happened but August came and went! Man-alive I have been busy! August began with a trip up to Reno that most of you may recall me talking about where I had a photo session and the most amazing catch up time with my ex-girl friend "Lake Tahoe." Then I get back home get super busy at Ruby Tuesday all the while continuing my networking for ARG IMAG, my photography business. Then the last part of the month exploded like no other. I managed to have three group photography sessions. Now we are in September and it aint slowing down yet.
I also held a very successful Activities/Family Home Evening Committee meeting tonight in which we filled up the calendar up until the end of the year. I would have to say the planned activities are going to be rocking awesome fun! The best part has to be seeing how excited the rest of the committee was. They all feel more involved and super excited to see and produce some classy yet rockin times.
Next up is a flight of the fancy trip to Carson City, NV September 18th-20th to see my younger brother get married. I have a butt load of photos not related to my business to post so bear with me and keep looking back and you will see them.
Now I'm off to reviewing something more classy, Whitney Houston's return to the media... LOL
